Dorian Xhoxhi

 

        

           Dorian Xhoxhi was born in Tirana in 1984 in a family of musicians.  He took his first violin lessons by his father at the age of 6. He studied in Munich and Berlin with E. Sebestyen, S. Picard and A. Weithaas. Also important was his collaboration with R. Fain, Midori , Z. Bron and others.

          Dorian  successfully took part in many international competitions and won the first price at the "International Queen Sophie Charlotte Competition" and the "International Louise Henriette Competition" In Germany.

          Since 2010 he is a member of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Before that he was section-leader of second violins at the Gewandhausorchster in Leipzig and played in the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester  Berlin.

He is a devoted chambermusic player and teacher, giving concerts and masterclasses in many different festivals all around Europe and Asia.
